VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - call 231-263-5465 to inquire how you could help
Are you seeking opportunities to make life more meaningful to others? Would you like the opportunity to meet other community members and share in changing lives of our friends and neighbors that are developmentally disabled? Consider volunteering at Rainbow of Hope where you will have the opportunity to socialize, have some fun and help others. There is need for a wide range of volunteers that meet a variety of interests and skills. Current needs include:
*crafts for the store (see below)
*stock shelves/supervise store when open
*spring greenhouse assistance planting, watering, transplanting and sales
*grounds maintenance/handyman for repairs
*event support (pancake breakfast, Mother's Day dinner, fall hayrides, 5K fall run, spring & fall Barn Markets)
With the support of a 2015 Rotary Charities grant, plans are underway to stock the Country Store with unique craft items made by the collaboration of community volunteers and residents of Rainbow of Hope Farm (a few gift items recently made are shown below, stone birdhouses, yard art and other unique gifts). Craft diversity will represent the tremendous variety of interests and skills in the Grand Traverse area. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED! If you are interested in this venture, please call 231-263-4673 or 263-5465. Supplies must be ordered and a work schedule arranged to team residents and volunteers with a specific skill.
